Every year on the second weekend in March, Downtown Leesburg opens its doors and hosts the annual Leesburg ArtFest to celebrate the ARTS, while highlighting local artists from the Central Florida area. Painters, jewelers, sculptures and potters from all over the United States exhibit and sell one of a kind art pieces, while competing for top prizes! New this year is Harper Printmaking Studio’s Little Big Print booth, 5 Emerging Artist booths and Beacon College Art Students booth.
Music, Art, Theater, Film and Books, its all happening March 9th and 10th in Downtown Leesburg. New this year is our Concert Crawl. Local musicians will be performing from various patio locations throughout the festival. Check back for the concert schedule. Melon Patch Theatre will performing scenes from their upcoming show Footloose both Saturday and Sunday on Main St.
MAS (Mobile Art Studio)
Unleash your inner creative and join us for interactive art fun! MAS will be popping up in various locations throughout the festival and its not just for kids. Fun and engaging hands on art activities for the entire family. Volunteers from local organizations will be on hand to keep your family busy with creative fun from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. each day of the Festival. Water guns and paint? We are filling up squirt guns with colorful water based paint and kids will let loose and have fun creating abstract expressionist masterpieces in our Kids Area!
See "Art in Action" as Artists create prints from carved plates. Little Big Print presented by Harper Printmaking Studio is a one day printmaking event on March 9th from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Watch as artists create large prints using a steamroller. Join Environmental Artist Patricia Gilmore and weave a large God's eye (in Spanish, Ojo de Dios), that will be placed in town square as part of our community creative placemaking project. Plein Air Artists and the Leesburg Art League Scketching group will be throughout the event sketching festival moments.

Little Big Print
The Little BIG Print is a 6-week process that starts January 21st with a HOW-TO Carving Workshop presented by instructor Jennifer Harper and concludes on March 9th with printing your carving using a Steamroller i.e. the Little BIG Print Steamroller event. Experience the process of BIG print by carving your own 2’x3x or 2’x2’ plate then printing your carving on paper and fabric with a steamroller at the Leesburg ArtFest Saturday, March 9th from 10a.m.-4p.m.
Literary Arts Festival
The Leesburg Public Library will host the 6th Annual Literary Arts Festival on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in previous years, the Literary Arts Festival will coincide with the Leesburg Art Fest. Fifteen authors will be under the big white tent in front of the library during festival hours. People will have a chance to meet and chat with local indie authors, purchase their books and have them signed. There will be great reads for both youth and adults including fiction, inspiration, memoirs and more. The Leesburg Public Library is located at 100 East Main Street. "Pop the Cork"
The Leesburg Art League presents "Pop the Cork", Celebrating ART. This juried show opens March 2nd and ends March 23rd located in the Leesburg Center for the Arts gallery showcasing one piece of work from over 25 local artists and is judged by Kim Minichiello. Join us, for the opening reception and awards presentation Friday, March 2nd from 7-9p.m. at the Leesburg Center for the Arts 429 W. Magnolia St. Leesburg.
