Now accepting entries. Entry Deadline: March 22, 2018
For this very special event, the organizers are calling on high school aged designers, artists and creators of Lake Country to bring to life the worlds that live in their mind. Don't miss the opportunity to showcase your creativity against the backdrop of a professional designer showcase.
This competition fosters creativity, focus, organizational skills, the ability to work within time frames all while promoting environmental responsibility (reduce, reuse, recycle and re-purpose).
Twelve (12) student designers will be chosen on the quality and originality of their short essay on how the practices of recycling, re-using and re-purposing can aid the environment, and the vision they have of their intended garment creation (narrative and sketch).
Acceptees will participate in a one day maker workshop to be held at the Leesburg Center For the Arts on Saturday March 31, 2018 from 10 – 1pm.
All tools, supplies and dress forms will be provided.
